Job Description

As our Fixed Term Tea Category Manager, you will become an expert in everything Tea, by delivering insights to support the development of the Tea category and our portfolio. You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing Teams to deliver sales growth for JDE and our retail partners by delivering strong category insights supported by a Category & Shopper Marketing Specialist.  This role is available for 12 months covering a period of parental leave.

In this role you will:

  • Continually evaluate market trends and JDE market performance to key stakeholders
  • Support with ideation and implementation of innovation projects
  • Evaluate and develop pricing and promotional plans per customer to help deliver our financial KPIs
  • Deliver insights, tools and recommendations to help the business optimise our sales fundamentals
  • Oversee a Category & Shopper Marketing Specialist with the planning and execution of our Tea shopper activations and promotions
  • Lead internal portfolio reviews with recommendations for change
  • Deliver convincing range reviews with our customers
  • Establishing a strong reputation within internal teams by becoming recognized as an expert on all relevant data sources and the Tea category

Qualifications

To be the best Category Manager, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Prior experience in FMCG with experience in Nielsen/IRI, Dunnhumby/Quantium
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from large volumes of data
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • The ability to coach and mentor others
  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong communication skills
  • Valid unrestricted work visa
