Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Operator to carry out our day-to-day warehouse operations. This role has a high focus on safety and quality; ensuring our standards and processes are understood and followed. You will play a vital role in building a strong health & safety culture across the manufacturing site.

You will play a key role in our inventory management, continuous improvement projects to increase warehouse efficiency and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Are you up for this challenge? 

In this role, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with planning and production teams to ensure materials are ready in accordance with production schedules and demand forecasts
  • Conduct inventory checks to ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and focus on minimising discrepancies and losses
  • Champion health, safety and quality across the breadth of the warehouse operations Manage supplier and 3PL provider relationships with consistent communication, dispute resolution, and collaboration
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects that are focused on increasing efficiency within the warehouse
  • At times, supervise contractors working within the warehouse, ensuring a positive and product working environment

Qualifications

What will you bring to the role?

For this role as a Warehouse Operator, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Current fork hoist license
  • You have proven experience within warehousing environments
  • Experience in inventory management and have coordinated both inbound and outbound activities
  • Familiar with health, safety and quality systems and protocols within a food manufacturing environment
  • You have strong communication skills (written and verbal) dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • You hold valid and unrestricted New Zealand working rights

This is a permanent full-time position based in our production site in East Tamaki, New Zealand. You will work 8 hours per day from Monday to Friday.
